Doug Wren | CEO

A visionary in international education with over 30 years of experience connecting students and institutions worldwide. With a commitment to fostering meaningful global connections, Doug established Wren Tours to provide admissions professionals with unparalleled access to international recruitment opportunities and cultural insights. Known for his dedication to radical hospitality and high-touch service, Doug has built a network that spans continents, empowering educational institutions to reach and engage diverse student populations.

Wade brings expertise in logistics and tour management, ensuring each Wren Tours experience runs seamlessly from start to finish. His attention to detail and commitment to client satisfaction makes every tour exceptional.

Veronica Mann

With a background in international relations, Veronica specializes in fostering partnerships with educational institutions worldwide. Her knack for connecting people helps admissions professionals build valuable, lasting networks.

Samuel Dunlop

Samuel’s deep knowledge of global education trends adds insight to every Wren Tours program. His strategic approach to admissions helps clients navigate the complexities of international recruitment with confidence.

Eileen Castro

Eileen oversees client relations, dedicated to providing a personalized, high-touch experience. Known for her warm professionalism, she ensures that every interaction reflects Wren Tours’ commitment to excellence.

Our Board

Mitsuko Leonard

Mitsuko Leonard serves as the Director of Recruitment at the University of California, Davis. Prior to joining UC Davis in 2002, she worked in Japan and Spain, where she also traveled extensively throughout the surrounding regions. At UC Davis, Mitsuko has managed the international and domestic evaluation of undergraduate applications, as well as student recruitment within California, across the U.S., and abroad. She has spearheaded several recruitment tours, including the inaugural international recruitment tour for the University of California system. Mitsuko is passionate about challenging conventional established recruitment strategies and leans into innovative approaches geared toward the empowerment of students, enhanced access, and breaking down global barriers to higher education.

Mary Adams

Mary Adams is responsible for international undergraduate recruitment at Penn State. During her career she has visited over 70 countries and has read thousands of applications from across the globe. For over 15 years she served on the Council of International Schools Higher Education and Asia Committees and, in conjunction with Wren Tours, directed recruitment tours to Asia and the Indian Subcontinent.

Heather Fomin

Heather has over 30 years of experience in higher education, university admissions, and study abroad programs. She is currently serving as the Assistant Vice Provost for Enrollment at The New School in New York where she leads a talented team of educators and administrators responsible for graduate and undergraduate admission at the university. She has also been Associate Dean of Admissions at the Tandon School of Engineering at NYU, Senior Associate Director of Admissions at NYU, and Acting Associate Dean of Admission at Drew University. She has had the pleasure of working with students from all over the world during her tenure in education. Heather also holds a BA in Russian Studies from Drew University and an MA in International Education from NYU. She studied abroad at St. Petersburg University and lived and worked in Moscow and St. Petersburg for the American Council of Teachers of Russian.
